Messi Masterclass in the Catalan Derby



FC Barcelona hosted the Catalan Derby at the Camp Nou with 72,800 spectators watching Messi and Co. perform some magic on the field.

First Half:
The match kicked-off in a strong manner for the home side, as Ernesto Valverde's men dominated the pitch leaving smiles on fans' faces. Although, newly signed Ousmane Dembélé started on the bench, the match was all about Leo Messi. The Argentine star proved once again why is he is the greatest of all time with 2 superb goals in the first half. "La Pulga" netted a beautiful first goal in the 25th minute and it only took ten more minutes, for Barca's No.10 to find the back of the net again, giving Camp Nou another Messi celebration.
The next 45 minutes were full of excitement, as Barca put on an exhibition for the home fans, adding three more goals on the score board and keeping a clean sheet. A classic Barcelona performance was missing for quite some time, but it seems as if the squad is back and ready to fight this season. The Catalan Derby could not have been any more perfect for the Blaugranas. From Rakitic’s astounding performance and Semedo’s strong presence in the right-back position to Dembélé’s assist and Messi’s hat-trick’; it was a night to remember for culés.
